REUS JAZZ CAVA: Xavi Torres | 2024-02-04

We present the next Reus Jazz Cava concert, which will take place on Sunday, February 4 at 7pm at the El Castell Cultural Center in Reus, and which will feature a top-level group: Xavi Torres Trio.

The Reus Jazz Cava opens its doors to three of the hottest young musicians of the moment, backed by a successful and recognized international career: Xavi Torres will be accompanied by the Roman double bass player Marco Zenini and the Barcelona drummer Andreu Pitarch. Afterwards, there will be a jam session open to all musicians who want to participate.


 

The pianist from Tarragona based in Amsterdam Xavi Torres will present with his trio the new album Quarantena Songs, made up of a repertoire of songs composed during the first confinement of the pandemic. Torres wrote a piece every day for thirty consecutive days as an exercise to maintain his creative energy, and the result was music that expresses all the opposite feelings of the moment: from sadness to hope, passing through nostalgia and gratitude.
