UNESCO declared April 30th International Jazz Day with the aim of raising awareness among the general public about the virtues of this music as an educational tool and as a driver for peace, unity and dialogue between peoples. It is celebrated worldwide with concerts and educational activities that spread the idea that jazz is not just a style of music, but also contributes to the construction of more inclusive societies. Mas del Jazz commemorates this day with a morning jam session open to anyone who wants to participate.
